InnovatES Program
InnovatES is a SkillsPlus Initiative intended to increase employee skills and abilities for eligible businesses. It is a customized, no cost training program for employees of small Science, Technology, and Innovation businesses. Now is the time to train your employees and boost your team’s ability to respond quickly in changing markets. InnovatES enhances participants’ Essential Skills to foster innovation and help your business grow.
Who is eligible? Science, Technology and Innovation businesses located on Vancouver Island, north of the Malahat, with 50 employees or less.
How Essential Skills help your business: These fundamental skills provide a foundation for learning job-specific skills and improve your employees’ abilities to adapt to workplace change and team development– reading text; numeracy (Math); oral communication; continuous learning; computer use; document use; writing; working with others; thinking skills.
What your business gets: Eligible employees work with an experienced Business Coach to develop an individualized training plan; receive one-on-one coaching to improve performance, self-confidence and commitment; and receive relevant training via InnovatES Webinars, specifically developed to teach Essential Skills that foster innovation and enhance skills within your team.
