Amusement Attendant - Nanaimo - 06/29/09

HOURS: Varied shifts Sunday through Saturday. Hours of operation vary seasonally, however, employees can expect to work between the hours of 10 am and 9 pm. Open daily with the exception of Dec 25th, 26th, and Jan 1st annually.
RATE: $10.00 per hour and there is a 90 day probationary period.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the overall direction of the Manager (Amusement Division), independently works at various attraction areas to include Lazer Tag, Go Karts, Reception, Arcade plus off site promotions as required.

JOB DUTIES
Follows Cyber City routines per area to include verbal presentations and instructs customers in the safe operation of attraction equipment and game rules as per company procedures.
Operates cash register to include Visa/MasterCard/Interac transactions.
Responsible for reconciliation of cash/ticket/token floats when working cash register.
Responds to on-site and telephone inquiries in a professional manner and demonstrates effective customer service at all times.
Maintains ongoing tidiness in designated work area to include work stations, attraction areas, party rooms, and outside areas dependent on assignment.
Performs equipment safety checks as required. (e.g. Go Karts, Lazer Fogger).
Responsible for ensuring all equipment is running smoothly and is in safe operating condition. Reports unsafe, missing or damaged equipment/property to Shift Supervisor or Manager on Duty at time of occurrence.
Performs general clean-up duties as delegated by Shift Supervisors or Manager.
Assists with off-site events and promotional activities as required
Performs all other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to individuals who have the ability to work effectively in the amusement industry, are outgoing, energetic, flexible, are team players and have demonstrated customer service skills.
Ability to work with limited supervision once initial training has been successfully completed.
Ability to deal with co-workers and customers effectively whilst maintaining a great sense of humor.
Previous cash handling experience an asset.
Superhost, W.H.I.M.I.S., First-Aid, and CPR an asset.
